Leigh Spoon & Zachary Shull … JUST MARRIED!!!

Leigh (my niece) & Zach had the most wonderful, gorgeous, fun, delicious wedding weekend in Boston.  They were married at the Mandarin Oriental Boston by their dear family friends, Larry Bacow & Jack Feder.  You can share this special occasion with us as you view their abbreviated wedding video.

Stanley was doing a beautiful job videotaping the ceremony with our Flip, but you will see a few mishaps … (1) when Anette, Ryan, & Dillon walked down the aisle Stanley was unprepared, so he didn’t capture Ryan & Anette’s face … just her boobs 😉  , (2) he didn’t realize that Randi was walking down the aisle, so he neglected to capture her special moment, but does have her under the chuppah, & (3) the videotaping concludes before the traditional “breaking-of-the-glass” since the Flip battery died.  What a bummer!!!

I’m Famous!!!

My dad & uncle developed a subdivision in Westland, MI & decided to name some of the streets after their children.  So here we are, preserved for posterity …  How cool is that?!!!

Spoon Wedding Ceremony – 5 Parts (VIDEO)

Finally … the wedding ceremony has been divided into 5 small videosAnette & Ryan were married by the Spoons’ dear family friend, Larry Bacow (Alan’s MIT roommate & currently the Tufts University president).  Another wonderful friend, Jack Feder, served as the cantorial soloist.  The ceremony was beautiful, personal, warm, & deeply touching.  We were all freezing, so you can only imagine how cold Anette & her bridesmaids were!

Boston with the Ben-Ezras

Amy, Koby, Reese, Chase & I spent a few days at the Spoon house, with Terri, Ryan, Leigh, Randi, in Boston.  Had some great times together & now looking forward to Anette & Ryan’s wedding in Chatham, MA in less than 3 weeks!  After visiting with the 3 Ben-Ezra kids, I think Ryan went back to San Francisco to tell Anette that it might be worth rethinking having children. 😉

My First BLURB.com Book

I finally got off my tush & published my first travel/photo/memory book with the help of www.blurb.com.  The book will be a surprise for Koby when he returns from his first overnight camp experience.  This was the Washington DC trip we took for Koby’s 8th birthday present … just Stanley, me, & Koby.   I haven’t seen the finished product yet, which should arrive next week, but it could never come close to the magnificent books my sister, Terri Spoon, keeps producing.  She’s one of the finest photographers & uses her artistic eye to lay out one masterpiece book after another.  I only hope mine is presentable & that Koby loves it!  Then maybe I’ll finally get all our other trips into book form (don’t hold your breath).
