Unfortunately, I let my ego get in the way of my health. My kettlebell workout, which I loved & was greatly increasing my strangth, became the major factor in all my spinal problems at the L-5 … slippage of the vertabra, spinal stenosis, & compression of the nerve … coupled with a bit of arthritis. After a period of excruciating pain, resulting in not being able to stand or walk for more than 5 – 10 minutes, I found my way to the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Multidisciplinary Spine Clinic. Thank God for Dr. Mokbel Chedid, one of the finest neurosurgical technicians, who performed a very successful spinal fusion & nerve decompression. After having just 2 screws & a spacer surgically inserted, I became PAIN-FREE the moment my feet touched the floor.
